Vision:
It is my belief that a child’s experiences at home are as essential to learning, growth, and academic success as their school experience.
I am an American Montessori Society (AMS) certified early childhood specialist with a MA in Early Childhood - special education with a background in residential interior design. I work closely with families to create their own customized Montessori home environment that further enhances the child’s unique abilities and skills. To further enrich the home environment and support the ongoing process of a child's growth, optional Mandarin-Chinese language immersion infused with Montessori education, care-taker training, and/or parenting experience consultation is also available.
Philosophy:
This design approach is based on the Montessori philosophy; Dr. Maria Montessori believed that a child’s education does not begin nor end inside of the walls of a classroom. The first Montessori schools were in fact called Casa dei Bambini, which literally translates to a Children’s House. Through careful observations of children, Dr. Montessori discovered that children naturally learn through curious interactions with their environment. Based on this insight, she designed a prepared environment, which included materials that helped children build essential skills, and introduced to them to novel concepts, anywhere from universal interconnectedness, to work cycles. This approach to learning has been the center of Montessori schools throughout the world for over a century. To this day, the philosophy continues to be influential, and so it has brought us to our own philosophical conclusion, to bring this pedagogy from the school environment to the home, and make the home environment a true "Children's House".

MA, Early Childhood Sp. Ed. - Montessori Education
BA, Early Childhood Education
Certified Residential Interior Design
Before the pandemic, I facilitated Montessori education and Mandarin-Chinese language immersion for three Montessori children in the heart of New York City for close to a decade. I've merged my classroom experience as a Montessori educator, with my background in Residential Interior Design, to seamlessly incorporate personalized activities into the home environment. As a native speaker of Mandarin-Chinese, I use Montessori education and philosophy as a container to create a unique language immersion experience for the curious and ever-expanding child. These experiences help me bring the pivotal concept of "Prepared Environment", the cornerstone on which Montessori philosophy is based, to the home. My education in multiple disciplines of the Arts supports me to connect with the "Absorbent Minds" of young children, who, like me, are continuously working on their "mastery" of skills.
